Andrea Gay

Andrea Gay is the Executive Director of Children's Health at the United Nations Foundation, where she oversees projects to improve the survival and health of children in developing countries, particularly those under 5 years of age. She joined the UN Foundation when it was created in 1998. Ms. Gay is an active advocate of US-China relationship and collaborations. She has served as the the President of the China Education Foundation, based in Washington, D.C. since the early 1980's. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Gay worked with Managed Care Options, a professional health-care firm established to advance principles, programs and practices of managed care, including ownership of a PPO. Her work also involved helping health institutions and group practices to adopt Medicare reimbursement for patients. Ms. Gay is the founder and executive director of the China Education Fund, an advised fund under the Foundation for the National Capital Region, created to promote graduate faculty development for Chinese agriculture universities.
